Send a complaint

If you want to complain to the Ombudsman, we recommend that you use the Ombudsman’s complaint form. Below, you will find a link to the complaint form in Danish and a link to an English translation of the complaint form. Please note that you cannot use the English translation of the complaint form to send complaints or documents electronically. For that, you need to use the Danish complaint form, but you are welcome to fill in the Danish complaint form in English. Attach the decision that you wish to complain about and/or other important documents.

You can also send your complaint in a letter or an e-mail. If you wish to send us an e-mail, we recommend that you use Digital Post, which you can access at for instance www.lifeindenmark.dk.

We usually reply to your complaint via Digital Post.

If you state your CPR number, we can more easily and safely identify you.

In addition, we ask you to please state

  • your full name
  • your postal address

File formats

We can receive files in common formats such as pdf, doc, docx, jpg, xps and png. Please do not send files in a format that requires special programmes to open the files. This may delay the processing of your complaint, and you may be asked to send the material again in another format.

Documents must be sent as attachments to our Danish complaint form or via e-mail or Digital Post. We do not open documents that have been sent via a link to a cloud-based solution.
