On 9-11 October 2013 three officers from the Parliamentary Ombudsman office visited Tanzania’s Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (the CHRAGG) which includes ombudsman tasks in its remit. During the visit the officers participated in a two-day seminar held by the CHRAGG. The subjects of the seminar were the development of administrative law, systemic investigations and the use of IT.
During the seminar officers from the CHRAGG and the Parliamentary Ombudsman office presented their respective institution’s experiences regarding the development of
administrative law and the use of systemic investigations and IT.
The purpose of the mutual presentations is to give the participants the opportunity to reflect on their own practices and to pick up ideas for improvements.
